I am so excited to get to announce that I am now on the Design Team for Crafty Card Gallery through March 2013! Some of my cards will be featured in their new magazine, Creations! Their first issue came out earlier this summer. I believe the next issue will be sometime this Winter. Did I mention how excited I am to be a part of their team? Yay!

Hello crafters! I wanted to share my progress on my current card project. I just finished the children that will be featured on my card. I used my Peachy Keen Stamps, Chalk, and Glaze Pens then cut out each child. Now for the next part...multi fold card! Stay tuned...more to come as soon as it's done! Happy crafting!

That's Done...Next?
With 8 Halloween cards all finished, it is time for another project. This next one is going to be a Multi fold card. My 5 year old has picked out the stamps and I'm supposed to make it all happen. It's a Thank You card for some friends that we visited last month who opened their house up to us for an entire weekend. The card will feature their three girls and my son. I've already started coloring the stamped children with chalk. (Using Peachy Keen Stamps of course.) I'm hoping as I tackle each step I can think ahead to my next step. It's so hard having to stop working every 30-45 min to break with my 16 month old who cant sleep. But, here goes...wish me luck!

Halloween Themed Card Swap
Phew. What. A. Relief! I finally finalized the design for the 8 cards that I have to do for the card swap group I joined. I don't know why it felt like a tough task. Probably because I wanted to put too much into the design and it wouldn't all fit without looking horrible. So...I decided to keep it simple. Some embossing, some inking, some chalk, a Peachy Keen stamp or two, and of course my newest toy...my crop o dile corner chomper for that rounded edge. I may have gone a bit overboard with it, but I think it worked out well. Enjoy! I hope this leaves you with a few ideas or at least a smile on your face! Until next time...be good.
Another Peachy Challenge
I created both of these cards after becoming inspired by the Peachy Keen Challenge for this week: create a teacher themed card. So, I got to stamping using my PK August Stamp set. Got a bit creative when stamping the words. I had lots of fun with these, they came together quite nicely. Simple too. Also had fun using my corner punch. Until next time, be good crafters!

Mom Time
Hello fellow crafters! Sorry, I put card making on the back burner as my first child has started kindergarten and we are getting into a rhythm for the school year. Tonight was my first Back To School Night...interesting. But you aren't here for that story, so...
I recently took advantage of a Peachy Keen Sale and purchased a bunch of new stamps that I'm looking forward to creating some cards with. My current project waiting for me is a batch of Halloween cards that I'm making for a card swap group that I joined on Facebook. I have pieces picked out for the cards but I'm having a huge mental block of how to place them on a card and make the cards boo-ti-ful! My five year old son was asking me why the pieces were on my table still and I told him of my issue. His response to "I can't figure out how to put the pieces on the paper to make it look boo-ti-ful." had me laughing. He replied, "Mom, you are silly, you use glue and glue them down!" I just love him! Well, until next time, be good crafters!

Thank You Piggies
Now back from vacation to Northern California...after staying with friends and family in their homes, I decided to make a few thank you cards for them using the Peachy Keen Challenge for this week of anything goes. My Peachy Keen piggy bath stamp is the focal point of this tri-fold card. I also used a Thank You stamp off of another one of my Peachy Keen collections. This was my first attempt at a tri-fold card. I had a lot of fun with it. I used chalk to color in the stamped piggies and to add color to the edges of the cut outs. I hope I have left you with an idea or two in your head or at least with a smile! Happy Labor Day weekend!
