Snowman's Hat Card
Hi! Christmas is almost here and I'm still creating new Christmas cards. This cardI came up with after looking at this weeks challenge on My Craft Spot. No die cut machine used, I made this one with scissors. I used my Copic markers to get just the right color on the ribbon I used for the hat band. Enjoy!

Jolly Snowman Ornaments
Happy Holidays! After making a gift tag, I decided that I needed to get a bit more creative and make one a cute Christmas ornament. So to my Cricut I went with my Speaking of Winter cartridge.
And now, that I think about it...it can be a gift tag and then even be used as a personalized ornament! How cool is that?!
I cut some 4" by 4" snowflakes (used 2-3 depending on how thick you'd like it..the thicker, the less fragile it will be). Then I used a 2" circle punch and punched out 2 patterned papers as well as a white. (The white one I dot embossed then cut to look like snow hills.) I then stamped a few HERO ART snowmen on white paper, minus the face so I could use cute Peachy Keen faces. After that, I ran the snowmen through my cuttlebug machine with my snowman die. Stamped a word on one of the patterned circles (this is where you could use a name instead). I then glued the piecestogether, and colored them with my Copics, used an orange Glaze Pen on the nose. Faux stiching around the edges of the circles with a white pen. Added some snowballs and stickles. Tied with ribbon and made a bow. Viola! I hope you like them. I'm going to enter them in this weeks Peachy Keen contest. Until next time...

Thia's Pot Pie...Not
9" x 12" baking dish
1 pound Ground Beef/Ground Turkey
onion (fresh or dried 1/8 dried or 1/4 fresh)
1 jar of gravy (beef or turkey) I use Heinz brand
6 servings Mashed Potatoes (as per box) Note: I omit salt and use a chicken bouillon cube instead.
1 can Low Salt Peas (*small can if making with carrots)
1 can Low Salt Corn (*small can if making with carrots)
1 can Low Salt Canned Green Beans
1 can Carrots (*Optional*)
Topping
1.25 cups of Bisquick
2 cups water
1 tablespoon butter sliced into tiny squares (to dot topping with)
Make potatoes and spoon evenly into the baking dish and put aside. Brown the meat and onion. Once cooked through, reduce heat and add the canned vegetables, gravy, and mix together over medium low heat. Pour this evenly over the mashed potatoes. Set aside to make topping. Combine the water and bisquick then whisk until the lumps aren't visible. Pour topping evenly over the meat and veggies, then scatter tiny cubes of butter on top. Put in preheated oven at 375 degrees and bake for 40-45 minutes or until top cracks and is golden brown. Topping is biscuit like, rather than crust like. (I will have to make this again to see if less topping would make it come out more crust like.) Let me know if you try this and your thoughts. Enjoy!

Mojo Monday Challenge
Here's a birthday card that I just finished with this weeks sketch...uploaded it with one minute left to link up. I still have a few finishing touches to do, but for the most part, it's done. I couldn't decide circle or square, so I went with a rectangle with rounded edges. Here's the sketch, and my card.
Purple Elephant Card
My mom loves elephants...And the color purple, so I figured since its her birthday, I'd make a Purple Elephant Card. So with the Peachy Keen Shape Challenge going on this week, I decided to do just that. I was in a bit of a hurry (family was waiting on me so we could leave for Disneyland for the evening), and I messed up. I was almost finished with the card too! So, the feet are messed up a bit. I tried to recover from the incident and know for next time. Until next time, enjoy.

Making Cards That Pop
Happy Saturday! I've been working on a turtle card that I wanted to share with you. As I continued working on it, I decided it didn't POP like I wanted it to, so I changed it up until it had a look I liked.

Burt's Bees Hydration
I would like to take a break from my regular blog posting to share this info with you. Recently I participated in a Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Campaign as I am a BzzAgent and receive products free or at a discount. I received my Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Kit and from the first application of the face lotion, I felt it working. I love Burt's Bees products, and their Intense Hydration line lives up to its name for sure! If you have dry skin, you'll want to give it a try for yourself! Okay, let's all get back to crafting. Or, whatever it is you enjoy doing if you aren't one of my crafty friend followers. Have a happy day!

Crafty Card Gallery November Challenge
For those in the US...Happy Thanksgiving! I am here to share the Crafty Card Gallery Design Team Challenge for November...it is to use a stationary item on our card. Right off I knew I'd use one of my spiral paper clips. But, I wasn't sure how. Then, as I was creating a project for a PK sketch challenge, it hit me...I started on the task of grabbing my stamps and cutting various paper before forgetting my idea. I was on a mission! Best thing, the receiver of this card can even frame it to use as a Thanksgiving Kitchen/Dining Room decoration for years to come. Yes, I think it's THAT cute!
PK- 141 Lil'Tweets Thanksgiving (Can be purchased from Peachy Keen Stamps HERE.)
Red, Orange, White, and Patterned Papers (one with fall leaves, the other decorative with spiral pattern and light enough in color to stamp on)
Copic Markers
White Gelly Roll pen
Matching ribbon
Matching Bling (I used pearls)
Spiral Paper Clip
Here's what I did:
Decided my base color would be white and cut that out to the size I wanted my card to be.
Then I cut the red paper a bit smaller than the white one and the orange one a bit smaller than the red one. (After folding the white paper in half to have the top and bottom/front and back of my card.) The patterned paper I cut a bit smaller but then took an extra 3/4 of an inch off the longer side.
I cut a strip of leaves one and a half inches wide.
Cut the banners from scraps to a length that looked good. Using the darker color first and stamping my sentiment on the lighter banner.
I then stamped the prayer on the light patterned paper and the bird on a piece of white cardstock. I used my circle punch to punch out the bird, then I colored him with my Copics. Assembled the card using my TOMBO glue and double sided sticky foam. Trimmed the red papers with faux stitching using my white Gelly Roll pen. Tied the ribbon onto the paper clip and placed it on the corner of the card. Added my three dot pearl bling to finish it off.
Oh...and if you haven't purchased your copy of Creations, by Crafty Card Gallery...may I suggest you do. It has a lot of great articles and cards featured in it! You can purchase it HERE. A few of my cards are featured in this current issue!
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Thank you for looking at my blog! Please become a follower. Once I have 50 followers, the giveaways will begin. (With a new set of my favorite stamps!) Until next time...TTFN!
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Happy Bird-day!
Howdy crafty friends! The next Peachy Keen Challenge has begun so since I needed to create a birthday card for my friend, I decided to use the colors from the PK Color Challenge. Using a Mojo Monday Sketch that I recently saw, I started gathering my papers for this challenge. Then I gathered the 3 Peachy Keen stamp sets I needed. I stamped my bird and took out my Copics and gave it my best...I'm still trying to get the hang of blending colors. I stamped my sentiment inside and got to work putting it together. Stamped the other sentiment then added it and bling. Some faux stitching and done! Amazing how quick it comes together when you have colors and a sketch already figured out! It took me longer to color the bird! I hope you enjoy this sweet tweet!
A Bit About Me, Thia
Hi, I'm Thia... the Thia behind Blue Moon Creation. I live in Sunny Southern California with my hubby of 9 years and our two young children. I am currently a stay at home Mom, after working with children with autism for the past 10 years. As for crafting, I have been the crafty type my entire life. In high school, my second year Spanish teacher made me promise to drop 3rd year Spanish to go take art classes. So...I did! I've been creating various hand crafted items for more than 20 years, cards for 15 plus years, and scrapbook pages for about 12 years. Stamping is something I started doing about 6 years ago. I happily create all occasion cards/interactive cards, scrapbook pages, mini scrapbooks, blankets, jewelry, hair accessories, wall art, floral pens...etc. I own two Cricut machines (Baby Bug and the Expression) and I also have the Cuttlebug. I love die cutting and embossing. When I discovered Peachy Keen Stamps earlier this year, I added them to the list of craft supplies I must have, along with my Cricut Carts, Cottage Cutz Dies, embossing folders, Gelly Roll Pens, chalks, and of course, some Copic markers. My cards are featured in the Crafty Card Gallery iPhone app, as well as in their card magazine Creations, 2nd issue. I am currently serving as a member of their Design Team until May 2013. I'm a ribbon winner at the 2012 OC Fair for my card featuring this year's theme, Home Sweet Home. Snowman Card
Hey there crafty friends! Here is a Snowman card I created using my Cottage Cutz Dies, Peachy Keen Stamps, and Copic markers. I am entering this card in the Christmas Card Snowman challenge and also sending it in as samples of my work for various design team calls. When it comes to creating cards, I love paper piecing, stamping, embossing, and coloring with my Copics (but...I'm still learning how to blend my colors). I hope you enjoy this snowman card as much as I do. I had lots of fun creating him and trying to find colors to make the card "pop"! Enjoy!

Eat Sugar Cookies!
Gingerbread cookies are a favorite this time of year, so I was inspired to create a Holiday card with a bit of cute humor to it.
First I picked a sketch to work from (Peachy Keen Challenges) and then gathered my papers and other supplies. (The holly berry paper is from The Paper Studio, other papers are from my scrap stash.)
I created my Gingerbread Girl using my Peachy Keen Stamps and my Cottage Cutz Dies. I paper pieced her to give her some dimension. Using my blush colored Copic, I colored her cheeks. I used my White Gelly Roll Glaze pen for the frosting. Then I added some tiny red pearls to her pony tails.
For the card...
I used my window word punch to create the area needed for the spinner, then ran it through my Cuttlebug to emboss it. To create the spinner, I used two dimes with a small round piece of double sided sticky foam to stick the dimes together. Then, I used my TOMBO glue to glue my image (Gingerbread Girl) to one of the dimes.
Card assembly...
I cut each paper a tad smaller than the previous piece for a layered look. I used the holly berry as my base then glued the red on top of that. Glued white on top of that. Placed the window cut paper down so I could measure where to stamp my sentiment. Stamped my sentiment then got busy with the hard part, which is inserting one of the dimes into the window by carefully bending the papers to get the dime inserted. (Once inserted, turn it over so the image is on the table and you are staring at the dime.) Onto the part that requires LOTS of double sided sticky foam. (Make sure to leave enough room for your dime to spin.) Done. Stuck that down and added my final touches...
Faux stitching, a button with bakers twine from the Twinery, and a few strips of paper ribbons layered with a Happy Holiday sentiment which I added some shimmer to the edges and heat embossed.
Cute? Totally! I hope this leaves you with an idea or two in your head or even a smile on your face! Thanks for stopping by! Until next time...be good crafters! TTFN!
