Heartfelt Sympathy

Hi there crafty followers and handmade card lovers! Today's card is a sympathy card that I made for a family member whose mother passed away. The images are from my Get Inky! Digi Stamps. You can find them on the Get Inky! Stamps by Blue Moon Creation website on the Digi Stamps page.

I had a tough time trying to pick out the colors for this card. I love layering and adding texture, but the texture part didn't work out, so I stuck with layering and glittery patterned images. Card is 5.25x5.25" and fits into a 5.5" square envelope.

I colored the image in with my Copics and added two ladybugs. I made the center of the flowers sparkle with a copic glitter pen and I highlighted the white petals with one of my very light gray shades (T0 I think.)
Then I fussy cut the images and stuck it to the center of my layers.

If you would like to purchase a card similar to this one, or would like to purchase the card kit, please contact me through the website at www.bluemooncreation.net and we will be happy to assist you with that.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Don't forget to become a follower as I will be giving away prizes to my followers, each time we reach 10 new followers and each time we reach 25 new followers. Until next time...

Bringing On The Bling!

Hi! Today's project was inspired by the current challenge over at Get Inky! Challenge...Bring On The Bling. Where there will be one Super Inky! winner picked who will receive this sweet sample stamp set:

Since I needed to start putting together my son's school memory book,  I decided now is a good time to start before the school year comes to an end. Lol

I used the butterfly page from DWCW School Days pack. Such a cute pack of paper, I bought two packs in hopes of it lasting a while so the book can match. Then I stamped on my bumblebee from the Buzzing Bees Stamp Set from Get Inky! by Blue Moon Creation (yup, that's me!). I added the bee happy sentiment along with the trail and dotted heart. Why the bee among butterflies you may be thinking? Well, my son's teacher always signs her emails bee happy, so I figured this fit. She loves bees. I stamped the bee again on white paper to color with my copics, fussy cut, and then glued it on top of the first stamped bee on the page. (This keeps his antenna with him and adds dimension). I then add glitter by means of stickles to it's wings. (The butterflies were already glitterified (my new word for glitter all over something). I added gemstones to the curls and then added my son's picture. Cute layout? I think so. You decide...

If you'd like to play along, but need more inspiration, go check out the Get Inky! Stamps blog, where the design team will be sharing their projects with you based on the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Glitterifying Fun

Hey crafters! I finally got my hands on some microfine glitter! So now I want to glitterify (that's when you put glitter on anything you can find) everything. I decided to start with my latest digi stamp to see what I can do with it. This is what I did...It was the microfine glitter (diamond) and double sided adhesive from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I fussy cut my digi then removed the first part of paper from one side of the sticky tape and stuck image line side down. Then I cut out my image again. With a paper plate and the microfine glitter on standby, I removed the other side of paper revealing my image under the clear adhesive. I placed my image on the plate and poured the glitter over entire image. Then I pushed the glitter down into the image. I then picked up image and dusted excess off with tapping. Placed it aside and poured glitter from plate back into container. Then I put the image back onto the plate and rubbed the surface with my finger to make it satin smooth. Once smooth, I used my Copics to color and highlight. Cute bunny, yes? You can find this bunny on the website under Digi Stamps. He's only $2.99! But, you can get him FREE if you play along with us at our Get Inky! Challenge this week (2 days left)! Hope to see you there! Thanks for stopping by!
