Out Of This World Recipe

This weeks Peachy Keen Challenge is a recipe card. I created my card using Peachy Keen stamps from SOTM from Feb 2013, as well as stamps from Market Street. Outside of card tells the ingredients, inside has the directions on how to make it. It's one of my favorites, it's something my mom used to make for us, I changed it up a bit. Here's what the card looks like:
I must add that I found an awesome paper pack to go with that February stamp set. It's from The Paper Studio, Cosmic Whammy. Soo cute! I can't wait to play with it some more! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hot Chili Anyone?

Hello my Moonbeams! Thanks for joining me today as I share with you my project this week for the Peachy Keen Challenge. This week you had to create something for a Potluck. Well, it immediately made me think of the old times at my hubby's office when they'd have their chili cookoff. Which I started participating in while pregnant with my first child because I was actually on maternity leave and could. So, if there was a cookoff now, here's what my sign for my Chili would look like:

This Hot Chili would probably be no where near as hot as the chili the boss would make. His was always Flamin' Hot.

To make this, I used a few of my Peachy Keen Stamp Sets (played around with a Christmas set to create the word Chili). A Market Street Stamp Set. And a Get Inky! Digital Image (faux stitched circle). Colored the image in using 4 Copic Markers, and added some pearl dew drops. Papers used are from my stash.

That's it! Thanks again for stopping by! Have a great rest of your week!

Spooktacular Halloween Ghost Witch Card

Well, hey there friends and followers. Lots going on here and I still found time to make a card for this weeks Peachy Keen Challenge (who am I kidding, I can't do much else but sit while I'm sick so I figured I'd try and enjoy the having to sit part and craft). Current challenge is a sketch challenge and here's what I did:

When it rains, it pours...not only am I sick, but so is my computer. It's gone kaput on me and refuses to turn on. So, I am using my phone to post now. Which means no links in my blog posts for now. Sorry.

Here's what I used:
Papers from my stash.
Peachy Keen Stamps (look at that cute ghost in a witches hat)
Get Inky! Spooktacular Halloween Stamp
DeNami Designs Round Stitch Stamp
Robins Nest Dew Drops
Copic Markers for the coloring on the base (it was a white base with black trim but the white was too white so I tried to get creative with my Copic Markers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Spooky Fun Shadowbox

This weeks Peachy Keen Challenge is anything goes as long as you use your Peachy Keen stamps. I figured this was a good time to start working on Halloween deco since I recently purchased some Peachy Halloween stamps.

Unfortunately I can't photograph it inside the box, too many reflections. So, here's the best picture I could come up with. The spooked cat isn't in this picture.

I hope this inspires you to get creative!

For my project, I created a wall deco piece for my kids room.
It is placed in a shadow box to allow for dimension.
There are lots of layers paper pieced in this project. Here is what I did...
I stamped the DeNami window stamp (found HERE) 4 times,
once on vellum, then on the green patterned cardstock, then on red cardstock,
and on white cardstock. I then stamped the Denami chick with the flower (found HERE)
onto the vellum, then inked up the butterfly from the chick with net stamp (found HERE)
and stamped that in the opposite corner of the window.
Then I used a butterfly trail clear stamp (found HERE) to tie it all together.
I colored the image with my Copics, only after flipping over the vellum
and coloring on the other side (to avoid having my stamp image smear during coloring).
I think by using the vellum it gives it more of a window feel to the project.
I then cut out the window panes from the white cardstock
and the green cardstock. The green cardstock had a wonderful pattern
which reminded me of a valance, which is why I used it.
It is from The Sweet Stack Paperstack by DCWV.
I replaced the white panes with the green
then matched it up with the vellum and carefully added glue
to each corner and the majority of glue to the planter area.
Cut the planter piece from the red cardstock found in my stash and used double sided foam
adhesive to attach it for dimension, only after tying some bakers twine on.
I took my brown Kraft cardstock and ran it through the fiskars crinkle thingy
then attached the window using Tombow glue (my favorite).
The tag was made using a Cuttlebug tag die
and is stamped with the words "dream big" (found HERE).
For the roof I used the same cardstock as the planter.
And with some fancy edge scissors, I trimmed three strips of paper
and layered them strategically to look like a roof using
double sided foam adhesive. I then trimmed it to fit into the shadow box.
I hope you like it and find that it inspires you to
dream big in your creations with DeNami Design Stamps!

Here it is hanging on the wall...

Just A Few More

It was a busy first week back to school so I never had the chance to tackle my last two OWH Labor Day VCMP card challenges. That's what I'm doing today...along with cleaning, but card making can be so distracting so it wins over cleaning. Here's the first one. It's an action wobble:
Inside there's a sentiment, Happy Boot-day. Cute huh?

This other card is stumping me. It needs some embellishment but I'm not sure what yet.
That concludes all my cards for the party. Thanks for stopping by!
